Сhildren from 1 to 5 years of age use suppositories of 12.5 mg. Diclon containing diclofenac sodium, is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. The mechanism of action of Diklon is due to the suppression of the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby inhibiting the biosynthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins play an important role in causing inflammation, pain, and fever.
In rheumatic diseases, it reduces swelling, hyperemia and pain at rest and during movement, morning stiffness and swelling of the joints, improving their functional ability. Eases migraine attacks.
Contraindications
- gastric and duodenal ulcers in the acute stage
- hypersensitivity to diclofenac and to the components of the drug;
- history of asthma attacks, urticaria, acute rhinitis associated with the use of acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs, as well as any drugs that suppress the production of prostaglandins;
- proctitis
- severe impairment of liver, kidney or heart fun
